DevNet KitTHE EVERYDAY TOOLBENCH

Privacy Policy

How DevNet Kit handles local tool data, uploaded files, remote requests, cookies, Google AdSense and third-party advertising.

This Privacy Policy explains how DevNet Kit ("we", "us" or "the site") handles information when you visit the site or use its tools.

1. Local-first tool processing

Most text, code, image and file tools run inside your browser. DevNet Kit does not intentionally upload, store or log the contents you enter into those local tools. Files selected for checksums, HAR analysis and image operations are processed in the browser unless the interface clearly identifies a Remote operation.

2. Browser storage

The site may use browser local storage to remember favorites, recently used tools and interface preferences. This information remains in your browser and can be removed by clearing site data in your browser settings.

3. Remote tools and third-party services

Tools labeled Remote make an external network request only after you run them. Depending on the tool, the requested value may be sent to a DNS resolver, IP information provider, QR-code service, Pwned Passwords service, a URL you ask the API tester to contact, or a page loaded in the responsive preview. Those providers may receive information such as the request value, IP address, browser information and timestamp under their own privacy policies.

Do not send passwords, private keys, live authentication tokens or confidential production data to a Remote tool. The Password Breach Check uses the Pwned Passwords k-anonymity model and sends only the first five characters of a SHA-1 hash, not the original password.

4. Hosting logs and technical information

Our hosting, security and content-delivery providers may automatically process standard request information such as IP address, browser type, device type, requested URL, referring page, date and time, and diagnostic or security events. This information may be used to deliver the site, prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors and maintain security.

5. Contact messages

If you contact us at james15171993@gmail.com, we receive the information you include in the email. We use it to respond to your request, investigate reported problems and maintain necessary correspondence. The site's contact form opens your email application; it does not submit the message to a DevNet Kit database.

6. Google AdSense and advertising cookies

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads based on users' visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

We may use Google AdSense and other third-party advertising providers. When ads are displayed, Google and participating advertising partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, device identifiers and similar technologies to deliver, limit, personalize and measure advertising, detect fraud and produce aggregated reports. Advertising cookies may be set from domains including Google and DoubleClick-related domains. Other approved vendors or ad networks may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies.

Users can manage or opt out of personalized Google advertising through Google My Ad Center. Users may also opt out of some third-party vendors' personalized advertising through YourAdChoices, where available. Disabling personalized ads does not necessarily remove all advertising; non-personalized ads may still use cookies or similar technology for frequency capping, fraud prevention and aggregated reporting.

Where applicable law requires consent, we will request the required choice before using advertising cookies or similar technologies. You can also manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect some site or advertising functions.

7. Data retention

Local tool inputs are not retained by the site. Technical logs and third-party service records are retained according to the operational and legal requirements of the relevant hosting or service provider. Contact emails may be retained as long as reasonably necessary to respond, keep support history, prevent abuse or comply with legal obligations.

8. Data choices

You may clear local storage and cookies through your browser, avoid Remote tools, disable personalized ads through the links above, and contact us to ask about information you sent directly by email. Requests may require reasonable verification.

9. Children's privacy

DevNet Kit is intended for a general technical audience and is not directed to children below the age at which parental consent is required under applicable law. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children.

10. Policy changes

We may update this policy when the site, advertising services or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version.
